BUILDING A FOUNDATION
FOR THEIR FUTURE
Giving children the best start since 2000.
Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Margaret Whelan, the owner of THTJB Ltd. The House that Jack Built was established in October 2000. I started the nursery as a parent with a little boy of 9 months, whose name was Jack, hence the name - The House that Jack Built. I wanted him to go to a nursery that could offer a loving environment with learning through play, where staff were kind, enjoyed their work and most importantly of all had fun with the children.
Our childcare philosophy, the way it is delivered, and the aims and expectations we have within each of our nurseries have been developed over the years by our unique team, who are highly-qualified and experienced childcare practitioners. We are very proud of what we are able to achieve within our nurseries and we strive to offer the best for children without compromise.

Our Philosophy
Our philosophy and aims are to ensure that every child is supported and allowed to fulfil their potential. A child's early years are their most formative and we use this time to provide them with the secure foundations for future learning. We build upon the parenting given to children at home by reflecting on each experience and tailoring learning to individualised development.
Children should be encouraged to learn at their own pace and those requiring more support are given just that so that they too can achieve. We aim to provide a diverse learning experience that will enable each child to go onwards and make a positive contribution to society.
